Escape the Cave
THEME:
You play as a slime, using your (dubious) powers of gravity to collect coins and avoid spikes on your ascent to the fabled surface.
GAMEPLAY:
You control a cough drop slime who can control his gravity; however, you can only fall left or right. You (permanently) collect worthless coins on your journey through a semi-random cave to the magically enlarging hole, and at the end of your journey - well, you can see for yourself.
CONTROLS:
- Change Gravity: ← / → OR A / D
- Move Up / Down: ↑ / ↓ OR W / S
TOOLS:
Art: Aseprite
Sound Effects: SFXR
Music: BeepBox
Engine: Godot
NOTES:
KNOWN PROBLEMS:
- Difficulty is all over the place
- No pause menu
- No mute button
- No checkpoints
- The "ending" is lackluster
- The "visuals" are terrible
EXCUSES:
This sorry excuse for a playable game is the result of my lack of art skill, my choice to do my first game jam ever using a completely new engine (Godot), while in the process of moving, and then scrapping my game over halfway through. However, this string of unquestionably bad choices at least resulted in my first ever game!

to hard for me, but the gameplay is nice.
Thank you for the feedback! Post-jam I plan on overhauling pretty much everything (from map to art, music to movement), so I will definitely make sure to make the gameplay fun and interesting while making it less about being accurate in your movement.
it is a bit hard i cant pass the first level
Yeah, as my first game, it really isn't very balanced. I plan on working on it some more post-jam.
